The Boston Celtics are one win away from the 2024 NBA title after taking a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks following a 106-99 win in Game 3 of the NBA Finals in Dallas on Wednesday night.

The Celtics withstood a frantic Dallas Mavericks comeback attempt in the fourth quarter to take a commanding lead in the series. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 32 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Celtics' balanced attack.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 32 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 25 points and Marcus Smart with 21 points.

The Celtics took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Mavericks 32-18 to take a 83-69 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

The Mavericks made a run in the fourth quarter, cutting the Celtics' lead to 94-91 with just over three minutes remaining. However, the Celtics were able to hold on for the victory.

The Celtics will now have a chance to close out the series in Game 4 on Friday night in Dallas.
