**Minor Earthquake Rattles Westchester County, New York** Early Friday morning, a magnitude 2.2 earthquake shook parts of Westchester County in New York. The quake, which occurred at 10:23 am, was also felt in portions of New Jersey. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the earthquake was located in Hastings-on-Hudson, Westchester County. The USGS estimates that over 4.2 million people in the region may have felt the tremor. Currently, damage assessments are underway across the affected areas. So far, no significant damage or injuries have been reported. This earthquake follows a more significant magnitude 4.8 earthquake that struck near Tewksbury and Lebanon in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, at 10:16 am. That quake was also felt in parts of New York and Pennsylvania. Experts remind residents to be prepared for future earthquakes and to have an emergency plan in place. Residents are advised to secure heavy objects, store food and water, and know how to turn off gas and electricity.
